Nam June Paik

In 1997 Raphaele joined Nam June Paik's NY studio for the development of his laser sculptures for his Retrospective "The World's of Nam June Paik" at the S.R. Guggenheim Museum (New York 2000, Seoul 2000, Bilbao 2001). Working closely with Nam June and Norman Ballard,  she was instrumental in the laser sculpture's design, build and installation (1997 - 2002). In addition she participated in the making and installation of several other CRT based sculptures during her work in the NY NJP studios. She also documented extensively the day to day operations in NY as well as the international installations using video and photography, catching candid moments of Nam June during the build of his works, capturing the pieces in formation and their final iterations in the diverse installations.
